A drinking club with a running problem. If that amuses you even slightly, you will fit in perfectly.
You made the first easy step of reading this, hopefully you also joined on Meetup. Now the harder step – get over yourself (to do something new/alone), get off the sofa and out the door!
So now you are thinking: Why would I want to be part of a group that would have me as a member? What’s this all about anyway? Should I bother going along?
Many of those who join the group don’t join a ‘hash’, don’t be that person. Try everything twice do everything once. Everyone is nice and worse case you can slide off at any time without anyone noticing! Every week a few new people join so you won’t be alone, there is a good rotation of people each week and every week is different vibe.
Hashing is many things to many people, here are a few:
- A running group,
- A drinking club,
- A walking group,
- A dog walking venue,
- A network of friends,
- A very non-serious running group where you can go as fast and as far as you like (or walk),
- A way to get out in the open, socialize, have a laugh, and have no commitment to have ‘to do anything’
- A laugh and way to talk to people not about work, learning German, how expensive things are or any other predictable boring topics.
….it is definitely not serious!
There are hash groups in hundreds of cities worldwide, they are all slightly different. This one is every week. To find out more, you just need to get out the door.
